In an exclusive interview given to WeLovetennis.fr; Sam Sumik is talking about Amelie...
Source: www.WeLoveTennis.fr : I've always been a big fan of Amelie; today I am trying to understand what is happening with her, at the same time I don't know much about what is happening ;so it's though to Analise the situation given that I don't have all the facts.Fact is Amelie is one hell of a player, and like a lot of specialists i believe that her career is far from over.I don't know if she will a Grand Slam but it's clear that she has all the weapons to be a contender. It is true that on the women's tour that I know so well things have changed;competition is tougher;when I look at Vera who is ranked world # 9 is Russia's 5TH player;it says it all.But speaking of Amelie, there are things that can be accomplished;she has a complete game;and there are qualities in her that other players don't have ,and it's interesting,a coach is always looking for a challenge".

Mauresmo will attempt to break
According to L'Equipe, Amélie Mauresmo will dispute the end of the season without Loic Courteau, her coach the past six years. A collaborative end is looming on the horizon 2009.
In solo in Asia and Europe
The year 2008 was the year of all challenged to Amélie Mauresmo. Bombarded by injuries, undermined by a morale-mast, the former world No. 1 had indicated earlier this season her desire to gradually take her career if the results were not. These facts are discreet, in fits and starts, but the talent is still there. After a U.S. tour that describes herself "globally positive", was expected to see Mauresmo continue her rebound in the global hierarchy to reinstate the Top 20 (she rose from the 35th to 24th place in two months). The goal is still largely in its scope but it will not Loic Courteau. The few days of rest taken by the French have nurtured her reflection not contest the end of the season in the company of one who is her coach for six long years. Arriving on Thursday contains Asian, Mauresmo is therefore alone, she has also decided to end her collaboration with her personal physiotherapist Michel Franco. The two men will be absent at her side in Japan and China, but also upon her return to Europe, Zurich and Linz.
Not the first time
Courteau seems difficult to digest this radical change but understood if we are to believe his words in the columns of L'Equipe: Actually, I do not know yet if I will continue to lead Amélie next year. We will point once this season ended. I admit that I was personally disappointed by her results, her level and her conduct on the court during its last matches. I think that here, a break is beneficial. There are six and a half years that I lead, perhaps she need something else, perhaps me too. " Thus, a very accomplice, almost fraternal, is taking end, but the information must be taken with tweezers. Although Mauresmo has decided to break this rule, the latter has already aligned with tournaments solo, without Courteau at her side. As was the case last February, at the Open Gaz de France, where the technician had been lent a strong hand the team to France to Fed Cup in China. Whether alone or accompanied evil, Mauresmo has confirmed her intention to continue her career at the highest level at least another season.

Amélie without Loïc until end of 2008
an amiable split between the two parties which will decide, at the end of the season the future of their collaboration. Loic, who in the columns of L'Equipe, said he is disappointed by the results and the performance on the court of his protégéé could put an end to their collaboration' . Michel Franco has already left the team . Amélie Mauresmo therefore will have to find the means of finishing her season well and also to determine under what conditions she will start the following one.
